In August 1992, Maneesh Kasera started Venus Softwares with the intention of offering tailor-made software packages. And by July 1994, Venus Softwares had ventured into hardware reselling.
As our client's confidence in us grew, we in turn imbibed the confidence to diversify into wider areas of services, catering to a wider customer base across West Bengal, focusing more on the public sector's IT needs. Because it is the Government sector that most urgently needs complete IT support, which in turn poses the most satisfying challenge for us.
Over the years we have kept our repertoire of activities at par with international industry standards, constantly innovating and adding new services. And this has definitely paid off, as is evident from our group turnover for the financial year ended March 2004, which was approximately Rs.100 million (about US$ 2.3 million).
But always, our aim has been 100% client satisfaction as opposed to maximisation of profits, since we believe that it is really our clients who determine our success or failure, not our annual turnover figures. Because we know that satisfied customers in turn bring in more customers through positive word-of-mouth recommendations. And this is the only kind of publicity that we have relied on.
Following our emphasis on client satisfaction, our work force of 40 includes 19 technical and maintenance support staff, with only 5 sales persons in sales. These are the people who make Venus shine through their dedication, commitment and oodles of talent.
We also have strategic arrangements with Authorized Service Providers of most of the prestigious IT ompanies and freelancers having industry-recognized certifications. These include the likes of IBM/Lenovo, HP, Acer, Toshiba, APC,TVSE, Samsung, D-Link, Canon, Epson, Panasonic, and Cisco, to name a few.
Venus Softwares is headed by Maneesh Kasera - a silver medallist from NCC (UK), holding an International Diploma in Computer Programming and Applications. He is also a D-Link Certified Cabling Engineer, a CompTIA Server+ Certified Professional as well as a Certified Internet Webmaster (CIW).
